WATCH: Spectacular video footage of several Tornadoes forming recorded near Vernon, Texas

VIDEOKINGS — Severe thunderstorms rumbled across North Texas Friday evening, producing at least two confirmed tornadoes, funnel sightings and large hail. This video is a compilation of several tornadoes forming and touching the ground on Friday, April 24 in the North of Texas.

Three thunderstorms formed in the late afternoon, prompting the Storm Prediction Center (SPC) to place Wichita Falls and much of North Texas in a Tornado Watch. One storm initially moved north into Foard and Hardeman counties, but as it approached the Red River it turned east and tracked just south of the river.

This supercell thunderstorm produced a confirmed large tornado near Lockett and another near Harrold, also in Wilbarger County. The tornadoes both appeared to be in open land and the only damage reported as of late Friday was a collapsed barn in rural Wilbarger County. Storm chasers posted video of a tornado south of Vernon on social media.
