160 Students in Sidney accidentally vaccinated with Pfizer, NSW Health Minister: “So what, move on.”
VIDEOKINGS — NSW Health says it gave more than 160 HSC students at St Joseph’s College at Hunters Hill a Pfizer jab “in error”, but the move has sparked fury from adults waiting for their COVID-19 shot and from teachers who argue they should be given priority.
“Through an error, the wider group of boarders in year 12, a total of 163 students, were also vaccinated [at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital]”, a spokeswoman said.
“What I find more embarrassing is that you would make that sort of question and accusation against frontline health staff who work their butts off and will have tomorrow achieved one million vaccinations in arms,” NSW Health Minister Hazzard said. “The school intended it well. There was a mistake and so what? It’s happened, out of a million vaccinations, move on.”
